Freizeitchor Cantamus

[DeepL:] Singing is fun and even more so in community. Our choir currently consists of around 40 members, including some men who would be happy to be joined. In addition to German and international songs, the choir is also open to challenging choral pieces.

The leisure choir Cantamus Potsdam was founded in 2009 by the music teacher Karl-Heinz Drews (1928-2019), who led the choir until 2013. Since 2014, the choir has been under the direction of Andreas Flämig. The decisive criteria for membership are first and foremost the joy of singing and, above all, the community.

The choir is considered to be very adventurous. It goes on trips several times a year, including rehearsal days at the Rheinsberg Music Academy. We particularly enjoy singing in retirement homes and village churches. The choir members have an average age of around 77. Listeners confirm the very varied repertoire and the fun they have listening to it.
